We are in Barrea, in the heart of the Abruzzo National Park, on the shores of Lake Barrea. A few kilometers from the house there are the famous villages of Pescasseroli, Castel di Sangro and Roccaraso and the location is also an ideal overnight stay for travellers to Naples, Rome, Pescara or Bari. Barrea is known for its fantastic panoramic landscape on the lake, for its historical centre, totally pedestrian, for the trekking paths that surround it and for the sport activities that can be practised on the lake or fishing, mountain biking, horseback riding, running, surfing, Canoe and so much relaxation. The beach "La Gravara" and its lido are 1.5 km away, reachable either by car or by a pleasant walk along the cycle path that skirts the lake. On the opposite side of the lake you can reach the Lido "I Safini" 1, 5km, Lido also equipped with outdoor swimming pool. The strategic position makes the house on Lake Barrea, ideal point for ski enthusiasts who will find the slopes of Roccaraso, Pescasseroli, Pescocostanzo and Passo Godi, easily reachable. Particularily Close (7 km) is the natural reserve of Camosciara where you can take a leisurely stroll along the paths from which you can observe the Chamam and waterfalls that have made famous the natural amphitheatre of Camosciara. The "Museum of the Apennine Wolf" of Civitella Alfedena and the point of sighting of the wolf are about 6 km while at Villetta Barrea (5km away) and Barrea itself and easy to meet the deer. The trekking paths can be reached by about 4km depending on the path that you will choose.
